The shop is open from 7 am to 5 pm. That's a total of 10 hours. Employees take a 1 hour lunch that is not billed to customers. 9 hours.

brought them old car and he indicated it would not require much time to complete but when I got first bill it showed 9 hours worked by one guy in one day yet they only work from 8-5 and he could not explain why they billed for guy taking break for lunch... the review with 5 stars was written by owner son's wife... bias opinion I think

This customer came in with a long list of problems with this car, a 1953 Packard.

After removing the incorrectly placed Chevrolet engine, bagged & labeled all the engine parts & accessories, steering column, fuel & brake lines, etc. We cleaned the extensive grease & rust from the engine bay & engine (we have pictures). Then we discovered the real problem, the mounting system was previously installed incorrectly causing the engine to not go in and sit straight. We then began the process of repairing the frame, built a cross member, engine & transmission mounts & solving the mounting problems. This was not just an engine removal and clean up as he states!

After receiving his first invoice for 51.9 hours he stopped all work on the project (by email) and said he would pick up the car and parts. We had worked an additional 17.3 hours the following week before he received his invoice, but stopped immediately once he emailed us. Obviously this customer has no idea of the time it takes to disassemble a 60+ year old, rusty, dirty car, much less to restore one

We are a professional shop with highly skilled ASE & Master Technicians that love working on these old car. We stress to our customers that the restoration process takes a good bit of time, an average restoration is 1,000 hours of labor! Being very disappointed that this customer was unhappy, our owner offered for him to decide how much he would pay for the work we had done, from nothing to whatever he thought was fair, he picked the amount. It took several employees, several hours to load up his car and the parts which we did for free. Neither of us being happy with the situation, but we thought we were both satisfied with the resolution. We never heard from him again, until someone pointed out these slanderous reviews.

It’s a shame someone can tell lies and half-truths without repercussions. Some people just have no honor.

Scope of job was to remove engine (installed incorrectly by previous owner couple of years earlier), clean out engine bay, re-install engine .... took shop over 72 hours for engine removal and clean-up .... I stopped the job due to extremely slow pace .... the whole job should be less than that.. Robert
