We have lived in a house with an in-ground pool for almost 4 years now, and Ph has really saved us! Last year they replaced our liner (seriously- just ask for their recommendation for a pattern- you won't be disappointed), and installed a loop loc type pool cover. They open and close the pool as well for us. We have been able to save some money by doing part of the process ourselves, which has been helpful! We have been treated fairly, and everyone has been very kind. We even learned a few things from Paul, who really knows his stuff as he's been doing this type of work for years. We highly recommend PH!

In October 2015 we contacted PH Pools and asked them to install new electronic controls in our 21 YO spa. They began the work in November 2015 and finally completed it in March 2016 at a total cost exceeding $2300. During the installation there were at least a half dozen separate problems and at one point they had to replace the entire system because they could not make it work right. And the replacement system is far inferior to what we paid for - in PH’s own words we’ve gone back to ancient technology.

Last month the heater stopped working. We called one of the prominent spa dealers in the Rochester area. The Tech was appalled at PH’s work - amateurish and overpriced was his professional opinion. The entire system was miswired; the system was not grounded; and the reset system was not connected. As a result the heater element was completely burned out and our cost to repair everything was $575. In addition, we could have been electrocuted!!!

This turned out to be a disaster.

Have used these guys for nearly 20 years! I found them when my original pool guy botched the install of my in ground pool. I have found PH's prices to be reasonable, and they have always told me upfront what repairs might cost. In fact, often the repair cost turned out to be less than estimated! I also use them for my hot tub, and have referred them to my family and friends. Feedback from them was positive, also. They have been reliable, and timely. I would recommend PH pool and Spa services to anyone, without reservation.

Based on recommendations from other folks, I used PH Pool & Spa service, and generally liked the work, and felt the billing was reasonable. Last year, I was having a problem, thought it was something I could probably take care of myself, and left a VM asking for a call back. Instead, a service call was made, the simple problem was fixed (indeed, it WAS something I could have done), and I was charged over $70. $50 of that bill was travel time/gas from Honeoye Falls to Canandaigua. Granted, it's a 20 minute drive, but given that I have been a customer for several years, that did not sit well with me, and I let them know. There was no offer of credit for future calls, so I will be finding someone else to make my repairs going forward. If you decide to use them for repairs, find out upfront what the base charges will be, so you don't get surprised.
