Tonight we went to India House...

Tonight we went to India House for the first time. We had a groupon for 50.00 and were excited to try it out. The decor is very nice and the food was really good (hence the 2 stars instead of one).

BUT... the service was horrendous! I haven't experienced service this poor in a very long time. I'm a fairly patient person but tonight was deplorable. Everything from just getting menus, to ordering and receiving our food was an ordeal. The manager helped out a few times (after overhearing my daughters' comment about the poor quality of service) . The waitstaff (including the manager), were all less than pleasant.

Its a shame, since the food was pretty decent (if a little bit on the spicy for me). We will not be going back, and would not recommend this place to anyone who does not want to spend hours waiting for everything.
