These people bring lots of useful things to the island. No it is not fancy but if you need a part for something, they likely have it at real reasonable rates. They are friendly and helpful and they get things to work and clean them up so they are recycling used things and that is good for the planet and this island and for us who want a good deal. I have been buying from them for the 18 years I am on this island and am grateful and glad for them.

This is not a fancy retail outlet or cutesy "shabby chic" shop. It's dark and disorganized and the staff is not particularly friendly But I wasn't out to socialize -and prices are pretty decent for the island -so no Botha me -- I've bought several pieces of furniture and appliances over the last ten years and felt like I got my money's worth each time.

Our fridge took a fut on us, so he headed to this Smiths to purchase a refurnished fridge. So we did, we got persuaded to buy a fridge that we initially did not want but unfortunatly we listened to the guy. So we bought it and the guys came over to take our old fridge and replaced it with the one we just bought. The Kenmore fridge lasted for 2-3 months untill everything became rotted eventually having to waste around 350$ in food.The reciept states a warranty within a 30 day period. Which i think is not enough for a fridge to break. We even bought a glass top stove which also needs repair due to one of the stoves not working. So there you have it. 2 appliances from the same shop that broke, now we are screwed because of the warrenty only provided 30 days. I think the warranty should be extended longer. I wasted alot of money and once again i got bent over by appliance salesperson. I am mad.
