It is the supplier of shaved ice for mint juleps at the Kentucky Derby. A week before the derby, Home City Ice starts preparing for its ice runs to the racetrack in Louisville. Headquartered in Cincinnati, Home City Ice is a privately owned company. Home City Ice has a branch facility located in Highland Heights, Ky., where it employs nearly 60 people.
