These people are scum sucking bottom feeders. I have been on the Do Not Call list for years and yet these SOBs call my cell phone over and over without leaving messages. If they won't respect something as simple as a Do Not Call list for someone's cellphone, they are probably crooks. Plus, they use a Texas number when they are out of NV. As for the supposedly "good reviews" here, they are obviously written by someone at the company.

I've been on the National Do Not Call Registry since day one, but that didn't stop this business from calling me. In my view, a company that won't respect the Do Not Call list can't be trusted to respect its customers in any other way either.

My experience was great. I usually ignore telemarketers, but the company happened to contact me at the right time, and the representatives I spoke to on the phone were knowledgeable and courteous. They sent me an e-mail afterwards which allowed me to research the 2 gig system, and by the time the installer came out I was ready to add more components. Because I changed the components, the installer didn't have all of the necessary equipment so he wasn't able to complete the installation that day. It actually worked out since I found out that the installer couldn't change my thermostat to a z wave model due to my state's regulations regarding low voltage devices. I was able to order the 2 gig thermostat and install it on my own before the installer returned with the other components a week later. He then linked the thermostat to the system, and everything works great. Extremely cutting edge. I'm very pleased with the mobile apps as well. The only reason I didn't rate this as a five star experience is because the installer (who was very courteous) wasn't abe to do anything with my thermostat, and he also left my old security system panels in place. I don't mind removing them on my own, but it would've been nice if he did it (or at least offered to).

I do not always write reviews but I received such nice service that I felt that I should. I contacted First Defense regarding a security system, the lady in the office was very helpful and was able to get me an appointment the same day. The installer was very very efficient and was able to get the entire system in less than 2 hours. He even cleaned up after himself and showed me how to use it. He was very patient showing me the touch screen panel. I was very satisfied with the entire process and will recommend them to my Sister who is also looking for an alarm system.

My experience with first defense was everything I would want out of a security company. They were very respectful, courteous, and made it an easy process to get my home protected. I have now had the system for a few months and I absolutely love it. All the features that were described to me on the phone are functioning and working great. There are so many things you can do to customize your home alarm and first defense knows the best way to do so. The touch screen panel makes it easy for me and my family to set the alarm. It even tells me when my kids have arrived home from school by sending me a text on my phone. All in all this was a great experience and I would HIGHLY recommend this company to everyone. Price is good and service is wonderful. You can't put a price on safety. A++++++

I recently had had First Defense Security call my home to promote a new technology for home security. As I listened to the representative explain about the system and its features I became very interested in the fact that I could monitor my home security system directly from my iphone. The young man on the phone made it very easy to understand everything and made me comfortable, while pointing out some key spots in my home that might be vulnerable to home invasion or burglary. We set up a time for a technician to come out and do an in home consultation for the next day. When the tech arrived we walked through the house and discussed the best place for the equipment. He was very helpful. We sat down and went through paperwork first and everything was very easy and just as it had been explained by the representative on the phone. He then proceeded to install the system. Once he was done ( about an hour and a half later) he explained the features and how to use it to me and my husband. Once we finished that he set up my phone to be able to control the system. It was very easy and it has been a great service. Highly recommend this company for your security needs! A++++++

FDS came by the hiuse on a Saturday afternoon recently wanting to sell their services. I was interested but wanted to talk it over with my wife who wasn't home at the time. They said fine but insisted on installing the upgrade to my current system immediately and have 3 business days to decline if I wanted. After discussing this with my wife we did decide to decline the offer and asked they they come over and remove their equipment. They did ONLY that. They did not restore my original system to working order. I had wires hanging out of the wall. When they come by your house, tell them to get lost!!!

I always thought about security but never went for it until a very gracious guy came to my house and protected my family with an alarm system. The prices of some of the other companies around town made you pay for the equipment, monitoring and the installation. By going with first defense it saved me over $649.00 dollars than the other company's we were looking at. The system was installed very quick and easy! It works at a click of a button and has a live operator that comes over if your alarm is activated to make sure your okay! It's cheap and makes everyone feel safer in the side of town were in. They also have great customer service.

The salesman that came to my house was a very kind man that wanted to protect the homes. I feel so much safer now that I have my alarm system! I have never had any problems at all with First Defense's employee's. They get straight to the point and get what I need done. I had a system with ADT before and they took forever to come out to service my alarm and never offered any upgrades. I will be with First Defense Security and Monitronics for as long as I have an alarm system. I am very satisfied and happy.

I had one salesperson that came by my house and explained what he was offering from First Defense, But the way he approached it was a very pushy. So I declined his offer of giving me this "Free" system. Then a couple of weeks later I had another salesperson come by my house and I had told him that I was not interested at all, because of this certain salesperson. Then this young man assured me that First Defense Security is a great company to go with and that it wasn't Free. He had mentioned that there was alot of great benefits that are free with this system like the installation and equipment. So I decided to go with them because I felt like I really needed this security system in my home. Also, because of this one salesman in particular, I think he was a very nice young gentleman for being honest and very up front with me. I will refer him to all my neighbors and family.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! My husband and I were approached by First Defense Security door to door employees and foolishly signed up for, what we thought and were told, was a 6 month contract. At the time the six months arrived and we attempted to cancel our contract we were advised that the contract could not be cancelled for three years and they were sorry that we were misinformed by their saleperson. The company advised us that the person who sold us the system had been fired for unethical behavior, however they were unwilling to work with us. They were rude and unprofessional and are unawre of what customer service is or means. Furthermore they represent Monitronics, which is as big a rip off as First Defense. So before you decide to buy anything from this company, let alone give them your time beware that they are dishonest, hire unethical people and do not stand by their customers. Making a dollar is more important to them than making a customer happy.
