Amphora is a small family winery producing a variety of wines in small lots of 100-200 cases. Some of these wines are fermented and/or aged in clay Amphorae that were hand-made in Italy, others are fermented in 1 ton bins, punched down by hand, then aged in traditional oak barrels. Currently the red varietals produced include Aglianico, Barbera, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Malbec, Merlot, Mourvedre, Petite Sirah, Sangiovese, Syrah, Tannat, Tempranillo, Teroldego and Zinfandel. We also produce a white wine, Vermentino, a sparkling Blanc de Noirs, and a Rose. The owner/winemaker is hands-on and is at the winery most days. He frequently will be the one to do a tasting, or if not, at least come and say hi and answer any questions.
