FESCO, also known as Family Emergency Shelter Coalition, is a nonprofit organization that includes more than 30 churches and community members. It serves homeless families with food, shelter, clothing and counseling. It also offers security, medical evaluations, money management and parenting assistance, housing education and search assistance, and job training. The organization also conducts child development activities, as well as provides resettlement programs. The coalition includes All Saints Catholic Church, Christ Lutheran Church, Eden United Church of Christ, First Baptist Church of Castro Valley and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Operational for more than 20 years, FESCO has its office in Hayward, Calif.
