On 4 May 2015 between 3PM and 3:30PM, I stopped in to purchase some 2 liter sodas. I've been purchasing my sodas here for nearly two months because of the price. The price is clearly marked inside & outside the store 2 liters for $0.99. These are brand name sodas such as Coke and Sprite. The sign outside the store is about half the size of the gas pump and inside the store about the size of a carton of cigarettes. I normally buy 3 or 4 sodas at the same time. Over the pass month I've purchased perhaps at least 15 or more sodas. While I would not consider myself a regular customer, I'm no stranger. I do shop there simply for the price and size of their sodas. They recognize my face and the car I drive because I buy the same thing every time I stop. I've also had a number of conservations with the store employees. Today I stopped in as I usually do to purchase my sodas. I was attempting to buy 4 of the 2 liter Cokes. I put two on the counter and told the clerk to ring me up for a total of 4 of the 2 liters as I headed back down the isle to grab two more. The clerk told me the 2 liters were no longer on sale and the price was now $1.69. I then told the clerk she had a sign posted with a price of $0.99. She told me they had already taken the sign down and the price changed on the 1st of the month. When she went to look, she saw the sign was still up, then removed the sign and tore it up and said I'd have to pay the $1.69 price. Whatever happened to the customer is always right? The sign was still up on the outside of the store in plain view for a price of $0.99. I will not be going back to this store because what they did was wrong. I always check to see the price of the sodas before I purchase them. The clerk would not honor the advertised price that was on the sign so I left and went to another store to purchase my sodas. This is wrong on so many levels. The correct price should have been posted before I arrived, and I should have been allowed to make my purchase at the advertised price.
