Joan Marie is awesome! This is the first time we've used her shop or met her. As a Christmas gift for me, my wife brought her an old and cherished Navy pilot's jacket that needed repair. My guess is that this would be a difficult repair because of the frayed material and difficult seams, but now I cannot tell any difference between the repaired side and the other side. Like so many small businesses, her shop has lost a lot of business due to covid, so I plan to bring her all the items in my closet I've been procrastinating to repair/alter. Consider checking your closet!

She does wonderful work and I can't believe how quickly she finishes! I've had several dresses altered and one completely saved! (It was my favorite, so thank goodness!)

I brought in my Grandfather's WWI Army tunic, with a long split in a side seam, tear in the right upper pocket, and the liner with several seam separations. After she had finished I could not see where the repairs had been done. I am so thankful I found someone I could trust to repair a family heirloom. I also brought in my Schott motorcycle jacket from the 70's with seam and liner separations and she expertly repaired that also. Thank You so much Joan Marie.

I took my wedding dress here and Joan Marie took a lot of time to make sure that every detail of my dress fit me perfectly! She had to do careful hand stitching with delicate lace overlays, hem lots of skirt layers, and take in a complex top, and she handled it all with ease! She's a true professional. She did an impeccably beautiful job!

Joan Marie rescued my favorite Coleman rain parka - who knew the main zipper could be replaced. She also, more importantly, did the alterations on my daughters amazing wedding dress. Better to buy a reasonable dress and get perfect alterations. No project is too big or too small for Joan Marie.
