Ecumenical Community is a nonprofit retirement community managed by The George M. Leader Family Corporation, which has more than 40-year experience serving the retirement needs of older persons. It offers various levels of care that include independent living, assisted living and a program for those with memory-related impairment and Alzheimer's disease. Its independent living apartments offers three meals per day, weekly housekeeping, household maintenance services and access to staff 24 hours a day. The center offers the Validation Method through its specially trained co-workers, to its residents suffering from Alzheimer's disease and related dementia. Validation helps co-workers see and understand the wisdom and knowledge in a person with dementia. Ecumenical Community is located in Harrisburg, Pa.
