Kings Community Action Organization (KCAO) is a community-based  organization established in 1965 pursuant to the federal legislation “Economic Opportunity Act of 1964.” It is a locally-controlled private non-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation whose mission has been to identify the causes of poverty in Kings County and develop strategies to alleviate those causes.  To do this, we work closely with our neighborhoods, businesses, schools,, churches and government.
