I erroneously had a package shipped to my former address (from 5 years ago). I contacted the USPS with little hope of getting the package. I received a call from Chris, who contacted the other postmaster and the package was delivered to my mail box. Incredible service. Chris followed up twice, and was so very helpful and pleasant. In addition, our mail carrier, Sonya, is outstanding She is so hardworking, but always incredibly pleasant and upbeat. Can't thank these two enough

The (800) 275-8777 number listed for a United States Post Office is a sham. Although offering a free call for a land-line, it connects one to an automated answering service which results in never hearing a human voice. A local directory will give you a number where people will pick up a phone and answer you; however, if we had a 'local' directory for the entire U.S., there wouldn't be much of a need for Switchboard anyway.If you want to help people connect to a Post Office outside your calling area, give people the number of a local church. Most pastors and their secretaries are kind enough to open their phone books and give you the correct number.I'm giving it 1 Star because I'm not allowed the option of zero stars.
