Region Pools

This place is an absolute nightmare! Words Couldn't describe the hell that they put me through and the horse manure job that they did to my pool! I should have done my research before hiring these clowns and I would have found that they have an F rating with the BBB and other lawsuits against them in addition to the one I had to file against them! They charged me $5,000 to replace the liner of my in ground pool and now the walls are beginning to cave in and it feels like there are small rocks underneath the liner! To the best of my knowledge (due to the lawsuit I filed against them) they have filed for bankruptcy and are no longer in business as Region Pools. However, I received a tip that they may be operating under the name of Region Renovations. The owners name is Doug Schaffer. STAY AS FAR AS YOU CAN FROM THIS PLACE AND THIS DOUG CLOWN AS YOU CAN! YOU WILL REGRET IT IF YOU DON'T! I also understand that he owns properties in the Hammond area and is a deadbeat landlord as well. All of his properties are in disrepair. Make no mistake, Region Pools gets zero stars. You're just forced to choose at least one.

HORRIBLE!

I wouldn't pay these people to clean out my fish bowl! They closed our pool last fall and here it is mid July and we still can't use it! They failed to put the closing chemicals in, I opened our pool and it was pitch black and smelled like a sewer. I'm still trying to get all of the leaves they left in and black algae out. On top of that, they lost and broke several pieces to our filter and pump so we had to order new parts. This place is horrible and how they are still in business I'll never know. I'd hire a preschooler before I pay this incompetenct bunch of morons again.

Paid in full for a half a$$ed job

1. Make sure you document your pool closing with pictures2. Make sure you DO NOT PAY them until you have witnessed the finished results.3. Make sure you are there. My advice is to find a company that for $250 for a less than one hour job, actually doesn't leave your pool green in color and a 4' diameter of leaves in the bottom to clog your sump drain. Then after I proved they did dump the leaves from the winter cover and the water into the pool they offered to come out and vacuum my pool, for an additional $60.00... NICE!

Love these guys

I have been with Region for over 5 years now and am never unhappy with their work. They service my pool every week all summer long and do such a great job the only thing left for me to do is enjoy it! Can't say enough about these guys, give them a call!

Excellent Service!

I was doing some yard over the weekend when I noticed the water in my pool was mostly gone. I had a new liner put in about 4 years ago, so I figured it was time for a new one. I called region for an estimate, and when I told them my situation they suggested it may just be a leak in the liner. 2 days later their guy was at my house with some gizmo they put in the water that detects leaks. Sure enough, he found 2 tears in the liner that was causing the water to escape. They patched them up on the spot, I filled my pool and the water level hasn’t dropped an inch! I was about to spend over $1,500 to have a new liner installed, but these guys fixed my problem for less than $200. Region pools has a new customer for life!

What a great company

So I ran into some problems this year and completely forgot about the pool. I was calling around for a closing and no one would help me. Then a co-worker recomened Region Pools. I told her most likely they were done for the season. So I called anyways and they were, but he said let me call your right back and I said ok, and thought yeah right like im going to get a call back. About 3 min later the phone rings and it s region pools I thought wow i cant belive it. So he says yes we are closed but I can send someone out tomorrow moring at 7:30 I said great send them out. They were here just before and did a fantastic job the guys were great and I couldnt be more happy. I would recommend these folks to any one and will be using them for now on.

Increased price

We've used Region Pools for 5 years. I scheduled my opening this year and was not informed, the rate had increased by $100 until after the pool was opened. I asked to speak with a manager, and they refused to work with us on the price.

Great Service and an Equal Opportunity Employer

Had to have our pool replaced this summer. Shopped around. Regions was very professional, and the price was right. I had many questions and was probably a bit of a pain at times, but the owner, Doug, was very patient, understanding and polite from start to finish. The entire staff was very friendly. When they came to our home, they had to make several adjustments at no extra charge. They explained everything they were going to do and how it would affect the outcome. The end result was perfection. I can't imagine anyone making any negative statements about the staff of Region Pools. I highly recommend them and have done so. Thanks you Region Pools for a job well done.

ALL KINDS OF POOL TROUBLES

We had their service for almost 2 years we purchased a new heater from them for our pool they installed it found out from another pool company that they had installed the wrong size heater to our pool they would not replace it, we had fire shooting out of the heater, we had hoses being blown off all because they gave us a wrong size heater. So then we had another pool company come out we had to purchase another heater this time the right size heater and we had not had one problem since. I would be very aware of this company for them to treat their customers like this is unbelivable! We are actually thinking of filing suit because their error cost us a lot of money and to report them to the BBB

Awful! Stay away

I scheduled a liner replacement and was told to leave some water in it so that the pool would not collapse on itself with the wind. The workers showed up and yelled at me for having water in it. Then the guy got on his phone and was complaining to his boss. The guy wanted to charge me an extra 150 bucks to pump out the water that they can pump out in 20 minutes with their large pump. I asked if they could come back later in the day and they said that there would be a 100 rescheduling fee. One would figure there would be a little customer service given I am trying to give them business with a job that costs over $1,000.00. The schedulers are very nice but when it comes to their staff- AWFUL!! Richards Pool Service is much more professional.
