I needed a front passenger tire 225/50/18 on 8/05/2016.
Tire was put on and I went home. left on excursion trip same day and returned on 8/08/2016 around 2 a.m.
8/09/2016: On my way to work the passenger front tire snapped off
causing major breakage to Wheel bearing hub, where 3 out of 5 studs and lugs were missing. 2 studs were still intact but heavily damaged. Tow service explained that the lugs were not tightened properly, which caused the breakdown.
The repair and cost was $648 plus the tax.
After confronting Family Tire about the incident, they told me they will not reimburse me for the issue. Furthermore, they installed a 235/50/18 instead. which was not the correct size for my vehicle. This has caused me to lose time from work and money. To any that deal with this business, Make sure you bring your own lugnut wrench to assure this does not happen to you.
