My mother graciously gave her engagement ring to give to my fiance, who gave it to me, with the understanding that we would add to it for the wedding band. Jim was very understanding of what I wanted - to preserve the integrity of my mom's ring, add to it with my band, and to keep it simple. He never pushed bigger diamonds just to make a sale. We were a little concerned that he would be outside of our budget (based on the fact that this would be a custom job and the location is in an affluent area) but the cost was very reasonable considering the work he had to do. Jim was also very patient regarding finances as we paid off various vendors as we were able to do so. He shared stories of his family (his dad was a caterer for many years) and helped us to feel comfortable and safe in his capable hands. Jim does whatever he can to satisfy your needs - big or small - and is himself a gem.
