Greenville County Disabilities and Special Needs Board provides various programs and services for individuals living with lifelong disabilities to reach their maximum potential. It provides various programs and services to consumers, including programs for early intervention, child development, adult development, and individual rehabilitation support. The board offers various family support services, including service coordination, assistance with Medicaid waivers, respite care, and companion and attendant care. The Greenville County Disabilities and Special Needs Board also operates several residential care programs designed for the level of independence and support that each consumer needs. It works with the Greenville County Recreation District to provide recreational activities for people with disabilities. The board works together with a variety of community programs and groups, including Consumer Advocacy Council and Family Advisory Council.
