SHARE Head Start is a program that provides child development services to low-income children and their families. The students in the program participate in indoor and outdoor games and are introduced to the concepts of words and numbers. The program also includes meals and medical and dental screenings. SHARE Head Start offers special instruction to children with physical and learning disabilities. It is certified as by the National Head Start Association (NHSA). The program is operated by Sunbelt Human Advancement Resources, which is a nonprofit agency that provides a range of services to low- and moderate-income residents in South Carolina. The organization operates a family service center that provides case management services to Head Start families to reduce, prevent and treat substance abuse and improve family literacy skills.
