A great exam always starts with a thorough medical and ocular history supported by the use of computerized vision analyzers and visual acuity charts to assess your vision. Our goal is to determine your individual visual needs, and provide you with a prescription so you can enjoy clear vision. These appointments are not typically dilated exams and are billed to your Vision Plan. If your plan does not offer a vision plan, the visit will be billed to your medical insurance. Your eye glass prescription will be updated and can be obtained at these visits.

I had my eye exam and left with a new prescription which I had filled within days, I paid cash for my glasses. When the glasses came in I couldn't see through them. They remade them, but I still couldn't see with them. I put my expensive glasses and prescription away, then after a while decided to have it filled somewhere else, again paying for the glasses which are not cheap. But again I couldn't see through them. I was told if the prescription is wrong and I get a new one within 2 weeks they would remake them free. I called Dr. V's office and explained the problem. They had an appointment in 4-5 weeks. I went to Lens Crafters and had my eyes checked. The Dr. said the first prescription was way off, way too strong. She gave me a correct prescription, I had it filled and can see great now. I do not recommend Dr Verstringhe since he can't write a simple prescription. And the office won't let me just come in to have it checked unless I wait 4-5 weeks and have another entire exam.

This is Dr. Verstringhe, posting in response to the message from August 2011. I am sorry that you were dissatisfied with your glasses prescription, and I apologize for any inconvenience. My associates and I are here to assist you with health concerns, whether it is a medical, surgical, or a refractive (glasses-related) issue. There appears to be a gap of 11 months from your only visit with us to the date your review was posted. If you had made attempts to contact me over this 11 month interval, I was not made aware of them. If you have not attempted to contact me, I would have liked to hear personally from you over these several months, regarding your concerns. Although I carry a full patient load, I have urgent care slots in my appointment schedule, almost daily, that could have accommodated you for a glasses check. We also have several optometric providers who would have been happy to assist you in optimizing your glasses prescription, usually the same day or the next day.
