Great place to board

My horse was at Pinecrest for almost 2 years until we bought our own horse property. Cindy was wonderful to work with. She is very easy to collaborate with regarding the care of your horse. She is willing to adjust feeding, give daily meds, and communicates openly. She keeps a close eye on the horses and has a keen sense of when something may be wrong (colicky horse, etc.). I also like that she feeds quality hay 3 times daily. The place is always very clean and has trails within riding distance. Also has an indoor arena and outside round pen.

Pinecrest Stables is one of the best in the area by cowgirl up

My horses have been at pinecrest for a few years now and receive the best care I've ever had at any stables. Cindy is the best horse nanny ever. I've been to a lot of stables and Cindy is the best caregiver by far. I can't even imagine what horseygirl is talking about. My question to her would be, if this happened in 2003, why did you wait until 2012 to write about this? Sounds like a vendetta to me.

A happy home for my horse

I moved my horse to Pinecrest Stables a bit over a year ago when I moved to Colorado. I am very happy with the care he is receiving here. Cindy cares for the horses as if they were her own and is always willing to do extra to keep my horse healthy. I don't worry about my horse one bit knowing he is in her care. The twice yearly shot clinics that Cindy organizes with a local vet are great. It really makes getting his vaccinations convenient, easy, and much less expensive than it would be if I called the vet on my own.

my horses were starved

I moved my horses there in 2003, when the old owners still had the place and it was fantastic. When they sold it to Cindy the place went downhill, she made improvements to the property which was nice, but at least it is my belief that she stopped feeding well in order to make up the cost. When I brought my horse to fort collins with me for college, people commented on her weight, and when I came back down to the springs my other horse was completely emaciated. I could fit my fingers between her ribs. Cindy claimed that she had worms, so I had a fecal float done by a vet, which confirmed that she was worm free. When I confronted Cindy about this she stated that she didn't understand how my horse could be losing weight when she was feeding her the same amount that "kept her at a good weight" and then told me that she would have to charge me extra in order to feed my horse the proper ammount of feed. Needless to say I moved them as soon as I could, and the new boarding facility was astounded at how emaciated both horses were, both had to be put on special diets to get their weight back up to a healthy level. Unless Cindy has changed her feeding habits since June of 2009 I would tell every boarder to stay away from her establishment unless they are willing to kick in the extra money to feed their horse themselves.

Pinecrest Stables-one of the best kept sercrets in town

This boarding facility is one of the best in the area. It has beautiful trails and the horses are treated with lots of TLC. This is a small barn, just of Hwy 24.It has an indoor arena and a outdoor roundpen. What I liked about it was there was not alot of people, just a quiet barn, unlike some up the road where they do weddings and cabins and hayrides and swimming, etc!!! This is just a great family barn.
