At Brighton Academy, we believe that there is a divine plan for every child. Children should learn from their inner-promptings and natural curiosity not from social indoctrination and the tactics of conditioning. We believe that children build their characters and discover their potential genius by applying concepts to experiences that extend beyond the classroom into the great outdoors, the world of commerce, and the life of the community. "We want children to experience what is truly good for their individual souls." Our programs at Brighton Academy strive continuously to make the connection between education and real life experience. For instance, students might be inspired to bring an historical event alive by preparing a realistic enactment for an audience of their peers or their parents. A Physical Science project might evolve into a competitive event between local schools to develop a marketable patent. Of course, this kind of education relies heavily on the inspiration and creativity of exceptional teachers as well as the support and enthusiasm of caring parents.
