I have never witnessed such poor treatment in my life. My little sister needed food assistance for her family of six due to job downsizing. When she filled out the application her caseworker kept sending requests for more information, he wouldn't answer phone calls or return calls. We went to see him in person and we waited for two hours and he still wouldn't see us. We finally tried again and he made many racial remarks. My sister didn't get the assistance she needed for two months. The women at the front desk are extremely rude and belittling. How can tax payers be forced to fund such rude and unhelpful people? How do these people sleep at night?

Not a fan of this place, I know its run by the state of IL. Called once, waited for an hour to talk to a person. That did not work so went to the office, waited in line and was told to wait for the mail. That was 4 months ago. I called the state and they said the application for our 19 yr old's medical is at this office. WHERE??? I have never been treated so poorly and still no yes or no for coverage?
