A beautiful setting, delicious food, waiter was attentive & great. Celebrating 31st Anniversary. Wednesday evening didn’t think of making reservation, Restaurant looked to have less than 50% occupancy in Dinning room, requested any table outside or window, was asked if I made a reservation, i answered no, immediately said “No” only with reservation. Ok. Noticed tables didn’t fill up, after dinner choose to go outside & walk around, to my surprise many tables were available with settings in place. Dinning room also had many tables available. The Hostess didn’t even attempt or try to accommodate. That’s unfortunate, taking a small initiative would have made a world of difference. It didn’t ruin my night or dinner.

Went here for the 1st time last weekend to celebrate a birthday party. It's a great location for a restaurant, situated on the top of the hill. The view of the Valley at night was very pretty. I'm looking forward to eating out on their terrace once the weather is warmer. Their beet and mixed green salad was pretty tasty (after I requested they substitute the goat cheese for bleu cheese crumbles instead) and the braised short ribs were good. Definite recommend.

So disappointed. This place charges an average of $30 per plate every entree served was cold. The orders also to a long time to arrive. Not worth the price of the meal. I will never return.

Extremely disappointed. How can a buffet not have hot drinks? Why is there more salad than entrees? There were only 4 entrees, one of which was just seasonal vegetables, one other which was just roasted "chicken". (Well, it wasnt really roasted chicken; it was roated FATcovered in lemon sauce). The desserts all had frosting, whipped cream. The sign by the desserts said "assorted chocolate chip cookies". But they were no where to be found and i didnt find anyone to ask what happened to the cookies. The customer service was terrible. There was no silverware on our table, and they rarely came by to pick up the dirty plates from our table. And for the amount of money that they charge, it is definitely not worth it.

Play taps, Odyssey may still have had decent food, but the service was so poor we never had an opportunity to find out. After going there for 20 years, this will probably be the last time.

Tried to make the reservation on-line, that malfunctioned, called and made the reservation for Thanksgiving in October. Called again to confirm. They called a week out to confirm.

We had only one request. We're a party of two, please don't seat us in huge room opened only at the holidays surrounded by parties of 8 where we won't be able hear each other. We arrived. On time. Nice girl escorted us with menus straight into one of their larger halls with parties of 6 to 12.

I said this won't work! She couldn't hear me over the noise. My wife chimed in, I couldn't hear either of them but could see their mouths moving. For the quality restaurant prices they charge, there's no excuse to turn it into a cafeteria and charge restaurant rates. It reminded of a gray hound bus station from 40 years ago.

No charm, no decorations. All the linen was pure white. Something left over from a wedding. No center decorations. Nothing that said autumn or fall. Just a blinding white room, with high intensity lighting, and a noise level violating OSHA standards.

How long to wait to be seated in the normal restaurant where table upon table were currently empty, an hour and half wait!!!

So much for taking care of old and loyal customer. I guess that loyalty program didn't mean much after all.

I use to frequent this restaur...

I use to frequent this restaurant back in the late 90's and it was always crowded and at time had to wait up to 45 minutes for a table and the food and the services was a "10"!

But over the years the restaurants food went down-hill and the place started to look a little shabby. Lately I read a few promos the restaurant published touting a "new" menu and "new" people. So Saturday night June 30th I decided to give it another try, I got there at 7:30 PM, I thought this is peek dinner hour and should have a good crowd but saw about 30% capacity. The place was clean everything else look much the same, but older. The outside dinning was a joke due to very poor lighting, not even a candle on the tables. I saw customers using their cell phone light to read the menu and even the servers used flashlights to light up the desert tray! The menu was on the pricey side, my wife ordered the Fillet and I ordered there best and most expensive cut of meat, a "Chicago bone-in Rib eye" done "medium" (pink) I believe it was $44.00. The Ceaser salad was on the dry side, but all I thought about was that big juicy bone-in Rib eye. My wife’s steak was done medium and it was very good, mine was another story! It arrived looking juicy charred nicely, but when I cut into it was well done and dry! So here we ago, I called my server over showed her my steak she apologized and said she will have them make me another, I wasn't to happy due to the fact my wife is eating alone. Several minutes later the second steak arrives looking good on the outside but when I cut it open was RARE very dark red center! I said “that's it no more steaks please bring my check” and we left very disappointed, the chef can't cook a steak! I guess the place did not change much after all!

Incredible Restaurant

The Odyessy Restaurant is fantastic. Not only is the food incredible, it might even be a bit too good. (Not a good place to go if you're on a diet; otherwise it's perfect.) The buffet had so many options...from the fresh fruit and salads, entres, all the way through to the cheesecake and multiple other choices. And the waitperson was what I always appreciate, helpful, friendly, and "there when you need them". The view of the San Fernando Valley is spectacular too. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Fantastic Brunch!

I have been to their brunch several times and it is fantastic. The salad bar is great with chilled plates and forks. There is caviar and chilled seafood. They make fresh omelettes as well a variety of delicious hot entrees. There is fresh fruit, a chocolate fountain, fresh juices and a wide selection of desserts. They even have cappucino and champagne. The best part is on Sundays there is a separate buffet for the kids with all of the things they love. They can choose from hot dogs, corn dogs, yogurt, fruit roll-ups, juice boxes, cereal and even gummy worms and ice cream bars. The atmosphere is really nice but not too stuffy and the view is gorgeous. There is an outside patio with a view of the entire valley and plenty of room to stroll around. If you are looking for a great weekend brunch, Saturday or Sunday or would just like a memorable dinner I highly reccomend this restaurant.

Ones Odyssey

Use of one of the three restaurant salon to host a part of friends, the rooms are large and can accomadate alot of people. But on the other hand the servers at the facilities are less to be desired, poorly manner in how to server guest their meals, mostly interrupting guest by placing meals in between guest who are talking.

Other wise the restaurant has a outstanding view of the valley at night fall.
