I am confused by the negative reviews here as well. The pricing for daily and extended boarding has always been clear and fair to us. Our dog LOVES coming here! She even knows the words "Pet Ponderosa" and goes crazy when we ask her if she wants to go! Great facilities, activities, and staff make Pet Ponderosa a wonderful place for your pets. Their grooming shampoo smells great too.

The negative reviews on here are shocking and confusing. I have been taking our Great Pyrenees for doggy daycare since he was a pup. They also had groomed our Bernese Mountain Dog several times. They have always been kind, professional yet down to earth. We had viewed their facility years ago before ever taking our dogs, -it was hospital like clean in the kennels. They take excellent care of our Bourbon (great pyr). I love that they're down to earth, easy to talk to and love people as much as animals. With Reviews, it's always that dissatisfied person who writes a review, so I definitely want to combat some of them. I have never ever had a problem. Pet Ponderosa is great!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!! You will end up paying a far greater price than originally quoted, and the staff is nothing short of unprofessional. Their given excuse for everything is that it is just their policy. You will get ripped off and strongly regret your decision to use this service. Do yourself a favor and read many of the negative reviews and research more than just one facility before making your final decision. I wish that I had done a little more research before settling on this dump. My dogs smelled incredibly bad when they were picked up and acted as if they had never had water, even though they only stayed Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday....which was only because I was told I would not be able to pick them up until 4 p.m. on Sunday. These people are scam artists who feel no guilt and take pleasure in ripping people off, regardless of the fact that you serve in the military.

We were quoted a specific price to leave our two dogs here for about three weeks. We were given both a daily rate, as well as a total price. Our oldest son picked our dogs up, and he was made to pay an additional $230 above the quoted price. Not knowing better, he payed it and called us to inform us. We called the pet ponderosa to ask about th additional charges, and the very young, clueless sounding girl told us that there must have been a "misunderstanding" when we were quoted the price, that the amount was inaccurate. I am in the Army and have been away at training, and I feel like PP has used their relationship with the military to abuse military customers. I will be using another service next time, and I will ask my Army colleagues to think about doing the same.

Pet owners: DO NOT bring your pet to Pet Ponderosa Resorts & Spas unless you want to be scammed! They "groomed" my cat and she came home covered in urine, the lady knew about it and didn't even bother to wipe her off or anything! RIDICULOUS SERVICE! Also, the girl who checked me in said they would be calling me when she was ready to let me know what time to pick her up...never called...then CHARGED ME A BOARDING FEE WHEN I WAS LATE!!!!!! Absolutely awful customer service. I will not be back and will be telling everyone how horrible this place is.

Well if you like being scammed then take your dog here. I am so upset with Pet Ponderosa for the lack of information and false information that was given to us. We were told we had to drop our dog off before noon on Saturday and that it would be $27.00 for him to stay plus we wanted him to have a bath so that would be another $45.00. We were told we could not pick him before 5pm on Sunday and had to pick him up before 6pm on Sunday. When I questioned why we couldn't pick him up any earlier they said that was check out time. So when my husband went to pick up our dog our bill was $115.00. I may not be good in math but I know for sure that $27.00 and $45.00 is not $115.00. So not looking at the bill till he got home because he was in a hurry he called back right away and asked why the bill was so high. Well they had charged us for two days instead of one and charged us $10.00 for exercising him. Really? When asked why they charged us for 2 days the man on the phone said we didn't pick him up in the morning and that it was there policy to charge for 2 days on weekends. We were NEVER told this information and I was quoted a price when we made the reservation. We were also never told about the exercise fee. So I called them yesterday and asked why the man was so rude to my husband and why we were never told we were going to be charged for two days and they said sorry it's our policy. I asked for someone with some authority to give me a call so that I could discuss this with them and well, nobody has called. So the moral of this story is if you feel like throwing your money away and feel like being scammed then go ahead and take your pet to Pet Ponderosa. We will NEVER go back again. If they treat there customers like this then how are they treating the pets. Really makes me concerned! So to post any review on here I have to give a star even though they don't deserve any star at all. Just saying!

This place is probably the best around when it comes to pet care. The owners are very involved in the business and ensure the great amazing care that my pet recieves. The staff there is always willing to help me in whatever situation it comes to my pet. Clean, safe, and caring are all words that make this place great. They also plan all sorts of activities for my pet throughout the day! Like pool time and community play! My pet lives it there and that makes me happy :)
