The owner refused to pay his employees for their final worked week and demanded them to work for him one additional work week.

Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the owner is illegally withholding wages and refusing to pay employees for their time worked. His unfair business practices on exploitation of labor are in direct violation of the FLSA and many other laws that surround labor in the United States.

He also refused to give his employees a copy of their signed employment contract. He deceived his employees by telling them that the signed contract is for employment tax purpose only; no need for having the signed copy.
