The Beltway Emergency Veterinary Hospital is the Washington area's premier urgent care center for pets. We provide emergency services for critically ill or injured pets when your regular or family veterinarian is not available. If you live in Washington D.C. or the surrounding Maryland suburbs you have found the right place to bring your pet if he or she is injured or feeling ill. Located in central Prince George's County, we serve a wide referral area ranging from eastern Washington D.C and Montgomery County, to all of Prince George's County, and parts of Howard, Anne Arundel, Charles, and Calvert Counties. Staffed by experienced professional emergency clinicians and a caring, competent staff, the Beltway Emergency Veterinary Hospital is equipped to provide urgent care for any emergency situations that may arise. We have an in-house diagnostic laboratory and radiology, a state of the art surgical suite, and an isolation ward for severely contagious pets. We work with the family veterinarians in our area to provide around the clock service by being available when your family vet is closed. We open our doors on weeknights at 6:30pm and stay open through the night until 8am, and we stay open 24 hours through the weekends and on major holidays. We are not open 24-hours on weekdays, and patients are referred back to their family vet for continued care by 8am on regular weekdays. Beltway Emergency Vet is likely the closest primary emergency / urgent care center.

It was after 7 PM on a Monday evening when my cat, David, was very ill. He was so hot to the touch, eyes were watery/droopy and he was coughing/sneezing. He wouldn't move. My own vet couldn't see him until Wednesday! They recommended Beltway Emergency Vet. The staff and doctor were TERRIFIC!!! David was taken right away. He was diagnosed with URI...Upper Respiratory Infection. They gave him 3 injections, including a to help reduce his 104 degree fever. Also gave him pills. I followed up 7 days later for an additional dose of pills to be on the safe side. In a total of 10 days, David was back to his old self and has been doing AWESOME since!

I can't think Beltway Emergency Veterinary Hospital enough. God bless you all!
