Cherry Hill is a township with a population of about 70,000, located just outside of the city of Philadelphia. Originally populated by the Lenni-Lanape tribe of Native Americans, the modern township traces its origins to the late 1600s, when English settlers first began to colonize the area. The township was known by various names over the years, before finally adopting the name of Cherry Hill in 1961. A traditional farming community, the township has been a primary supplier of vegetables to the Campbell's Soup Company for decades.
Cherry Hill has diverse housing and neighborhood options. The township offers residents pre-war homes in addition to modern construction, high-rises and gated communities. Cherry Hill is divided into Cherry Hill East and West, Erlton, and Cherry Hill Estates. All neighborhoods offer a variety of upper class homes and affordable housing and the public schools boast top-notch academics.
Garden State Park remains a landmark in Cherry Hill. This property, formerly the Garden State Park Horse Racetrack, sits on approximately 225 acres of land and contains shopping, dining, office space, and luxury living. This community offers apartments, condominiums, and town houses, all convenient to shopping, dining, and entertainment. Residents of the apartment complex enjoy concierge service, a swimming pool, and a clubhouse.
Industry in the area changed dramatically after the Great Depression, when Cherry Hill became the home of the Garden State Park Race Horses. This racetrack was a source of entertainment and revenue for the town until the track was shut down in 2001.

Cherry Hill has approximately 50 parks, featuring walking paths, playgrounds, ball fields, and an arts center. Additionally, a number of swim clubs offer Cherry Hill residents opportunities for water sports. The Parks and Recreation Department provides the community with planned summer and winter programs.

Centrally located on the Eastern Seaboard, Cherry Hill provides easy access to several major US Cities including, New York City, Philadelphia, Atlantic City, and Baltimore.
