Gardendale High School serves students in grades 9 through 12. Its academic curriculum includes social studies, art, math, English and science. The school s staff includes counselors, teachers, office assistants and librarians. Gardendale High School operates Scholars Bowl, drama, French, art, chess, sign language and student council clubs. It organizes a variety of sports activities, including basketball, football, wrestling, soccer and tennis. In addition, the school has a partnership with Jefferson State Junior College to allow students to take classes in psychology, world history and manufacturing. Located in Gardendale, Ala., Gardendale High School is owned and operated by Jefferson County BOE, which operates various elementary, middle and high schools.
