I had my Ford Escape towed from another place that could not fix it, said it was probably electrical. Joseph called me as soon as he tracked down the problem. Explained everything to me and kept me informed on what was going on. They have done work for me
before on a transmission for a Honda Accord I was well pleased with their service.
Everyone I talked with was very nice and friendly. I would highly recommend them to my friends, family and any one with car trouble.

My Escape is finally alive and running.

RIP-OFF. They lied to me. They said they would fix every thing on my explorer for $1800 that I had to borrow. My vehicle was worse than when I brought it in. The owner Rayburn was nice until I brought the problem to his attention & became nasty. My vehicle was not drivable the next day.

Everyone was pleasant and very professional with the majority of my contact with Rayburn and Steve on the repair of the dash cluster of my classic 1997 Lincoln Town Car. Steve was very knowledgeable and explained the process to me answering any and all questions that I had. The costs for the repairs were reasonable and the work very professional.
It is refreshing to encounter people who don't treat their job as "just a job." This local family operated business made me feel "welcome" and I would highly recommend Decatur Highway Transmission to anyone for your automotive repairs.

I took my truck in to have my transmission rebuilt . It took them about a week . It worked great . For about 2 weeks . When I took it back Rayburn was not happy i brought it back . I had to leave it for 2 weeks . I got it back and i was told from the guy that rebuilds the trans that he never rebuilt the trans for my truck . I thought that was odd . It worked fine for 3 weeks and it messed up again . I took it back again and was not treated very good . Then I heard Rayburn tell the mech. to take another trans out of another truck . Well I got the truck back with the other trans out of another truck and it has been leaking trans fluid . I stopped back by there and ask them to check it for me . I was told to bring it back next week . I asked them to check the fluid ( because of it leaking ) and I was told they dont have any trans fluid . And for me to go buy some and do not burn up the trans !!! NOT HAPPY AT ALL.

First I had a coolant flush hose replaced and therostat replaced. The next time I went I had a Axel assembly replaced. Both time the service was fast and friendly. Rayburn and the other mechanic fixed it for me. They quoted what other things need to be replaced for regular car maitence and informed me of the other issues my car has. I would recommend this place to friends and family.
