Located in Garden Grove, Calif., Mark Twain School is a special school that serves more than 80 significantly disabled, multiply handicapped, medically fragile, technology-dependent and behaviorally challenged students from 3 to 22 years. It has more than 10 classrooms, one of which is housed at the Hy-Lond Home for the Developmentally Disabled. ts programs emphasize developing, improving and maintaining critical and functional daily living skills, as well as communication and vocation skills. The school also offers Mobility Options Via Education, computer instruction, swimming, Special Olympics, foster grandparent project, 4H club, scouting, and assistive and augmentative communication programs. Mark Twain School is a part of the Garden Grove Unified School District.
