I went to my first waxing appointment about a year ago and have never gone anywhere else since!!! Mode Salon beats all other places i've gone too in Jacksonville and Gainesville combined. The atmosphere is so relaxing, the Tiara and Jessica are sweet and inviting and make sure you feel so comfortable. Tiara is by far the most precise, careful, and caring esthetician and have recommended her and brought my friends to her. She is WONDERFUL! I'll never go anywhere else !

I got a massage with Jessica and it was wonderful. I had upper back pain and muscle stifnesss. I recommand her to everyone. The oils they used are of extreme quality.

This place is a little over priced which I wouldn't mind except for the fact that some of the staff is extremely rude. The costumer service here sucks. If I where you id go else where.....

I have a revuew for mode salon east. But it seems this page only allows positive reviews. Mine is negative.
First iff the receptionist Kathleen is a snob and if you dont come in there dressed to impress she will call you a slob under your breath. The place is a bit pricey and if you ask the price of something Kathleen again will look at you like you shouldnt be here. On top of that i found out one of the girls that works there. Zoe will actually come to some of her clients homes and do the work for less for cash. I find this to be unfair favoritism. I would like my review to be herd.

Mode Salon is the most professional salon I have ever been to. Always a great experience!

Very friendly and professional atmosphere. Never had any issues, and Megan does the BEST Brazilian waxes in town!

I definitely would recommend this salon to anyone. The people were very nice and Sarah, my stylist, has never left me disappointed. From the massage at the beginning to the great haircut and refreshments, this is the best haircutting and salon experience I've had.

Alyssa has been my stylist for years. I followed her from Clip Art and absolutely love her gentle touch. Cutting and coloring is artistic expression for Alyssa.

Although I have relatively straight hair and didn't really see the need for a Brazilian Blowout, Lonie convinced me that it would make my hair healthy, silky and shiny. Alyssa worked her magic and I am amazed. I haven't had hair like this since I was a little kid.

Mode Salon is the best salon in Gainesville. The environment, atmosphere, and professionalism are unparalleled.

When I originally moved to Gainesville from Ft. Lauderdale, I was skeptical to find a trustworthy stylist in town. However, a friend of mine recommended Lonie before he opened Mode Salon. I have been seeing Lonie for the past 4 years and will continue to visit Mode Salon while I am in grad school.



The Salon is absolutely gorgeous. It's located in an old historic home right across from the Duck Pond neighborhood. You will feel a sense of peace and relaxation upon entering the salon. The staff are all friendly and you will always feel special. Additionally, the salon uses excellent products (e.g. GHD, Davines, etc.), which is a plus!



Lonie, in particular, has a way of making all his clients feel beautiful; you will leave the salon feeling beautiful, too. He starts all appointments with a stress relief massage, and will make sure he knows exactly what his client wants before he gets to work. Lonie also does a great job with educating his clients while he's working on your hair. He really is a wealth of knowledge, so you can ask him anything. Surely, he will know the answer. Lonie is simply fabulous! Most of my friends either see Lonie or other stylist at Mode - never disappointed.



Best salon in town!

Until I found Mode, I had 5 years of bad luck with salons all over Gainesville... I had never really found a stylist who's talented or that I've admired as much as the London-born one I had in Orange County, CA years ago. My sister-in-law referred me to Mode this year, and I fell under the care of Stephanie. She did exactly as I asked, a simple haircut and style, but it turned out much more stylish and flattering to me than I had dreamed of. And it was still easy to care for. I loved the products she washed my hair with and bought the shampoo and conditioner, which are the best products I've ever used on my fine, wimpy, oily hair. It's much softer and wavier now with less frizz. As other reviewers have said, everyone there is friendly, very welcoming and the old house is so cozy and chic. You get the chic with none of the high-priced attitude that often accompanies salons of this calibre.

I love Mode Salon for me and now my 10-year old son is a new Mode customer. Stephanie does "kids cuts" and did an awesome job trimming some style into my son's hair while he is growing it out! We're going back tomorrow for his back-to-school cut. He's hooked and can't wait until tomorrow :)

Alyssa Imman has been my hair stylist for well over seven years. I would follow her anywhere and am pleased that she is now a stylist at Mode Salon. She always listens closely and gives her undivided attention to my concerns regarding my hair. She consistently leaves me walking away feeling like a million bucks! She has a wonderful personality and is one of the most experienced hair stylists that I have ever met and I wouldn't trust my hair to anyone else.



Alyssa, the owners, and the entire staff at Mode are terrific. From the time you walk in the door until the time you leave, they make you feel relaxed, welcome and totally pampered. The atmosphere is chic; the decor and colors extremely soothing and tasteful. They offer numerous other spa services as well and use natural products. I recommend Mode Salon to anyone who loves receiving compliments on their hair and who is looking for a friendly, competent staff in Gainesville's most upscale spa and hair salon!

I visited Mode Salon for the first time this year and was extremely impressed. I get my hair cut by my favorite stylist, Ashley, and have never been disappointed with either the services or the prices. I got my hair colored there for the first time last month and have received numerous compliments on it. I expressed interest in an eyebrow wax during my appointment and they fit me in while I was waiting on my hair to finish. I wouldn't recommend any other place in Gainesville!

I would highly recommend Mode to anyone. Every time I go to mode, I feel as if I was in a salon that you would go to in a big city. All the staff is welcoming and very hospitable. Stephanie does an amazing job with my hair. I have never left dissatisfied. If you are looking for awesome eyes, you need to make an appointment with Megan for a brow wax.



The are very flexible with their schedules and try to accommodate your time. I have yet to experience any negatives about Mode. I would highly recommend Mode to anyone.

I've been going to Mode Salon since it opened! I followed my stylist, Alyssa to Mode when she moved there from a different salon. Mode is in a great location and there is always parking. The salon is clean and the staff are wonderful to work with.



Alyssa has been my stylist for the last approximately 5 years. She is excellent with cuts and color. I have loved my color every single time she has done it. She pays excellent attention to detail and makes sure you love everything about your style before you leave the salon. I've recommended Alyssa to my friends and I'd do it again in a heart beat!

Read Annabel's entry on 7/31. That sums up the Mode experience. i have remained a loyal client. Although I use Sarah (sweet & talented!) & Lonie (who I've known for a decade and is wonderful!), I would guess that anyone there would do a fine job. I recommend seeing for yourself! ; )

Mode Salon is the coziest and friendliest salon in Gainesville. Loni has done such an amazing job with my hair while making me feel comfortable and at home with affordable prices on services and products. I am also very proud to say that you get all you need and want while causing the least amount impact on the environment (which is very important to me). Sarah thank you for doing such an amazing job on my eyebrows in minutes. Everyone is in the salon is very friendly and willing to help.

About a year ago I decided that I wanted to find a new salon. I chose to visit this one for the first time because I wanted a salon that was downtown as I like to support downtown businesses. I also liked how the business was located in a restored property rather than a strip mall.



My first visit was terrific. The business is positively lovely, inside and out. I like the attention to detail in the design and layout of the property. It is very relaxing to be in such a lovely space. My only complaint with the property is that the sign near the road is quite small.



Sarah Hunter cut my hair. At the time, she was new to Mode so I thought that I'd give her a try. She is a pleasure to work with. She started the appointment with a consultation. She really let me explain my concerns and was very attentive. She then gave a brief (5 min) shoulder massage, washed and then cut my hair. She also took my suggestions immediately during the cut.



Perhaps I should also mention that I forgot about the appointment and they had to call me and I showed up more than 15 minutes late! They were kind and understanding about this.



I have recommended three different friends to Sarah who have all loved their hair. I have also been back at least one other time, I can't remember if there was a third appointment or not.



In all, I would strongly recommend Mode Salon and particularly Sarah.

Mode Salon, in downtown Gainesville, provides exceptional haircare and products, as well as excellent customer service!

The atmosphere is inviting and warm.

Megan is a wonderful esthetician-very friendly and ensures comfort during all services.
