Here is my experience with a receptionist at the LabCorp in Fullerton, CA on 1950 Sunnycrest Dr. #1800. This was my first visit there around 10:45 am on Wednesday July 3rd, 2013. I was a walk-in (phone was no longer in service to make a reservation!). First, there were no patients waiting in the lobby compared to LabQuest and I thought that was strange and I found out why!



The front desk lady, Kelly, was very unprofessional. While she was doing my paperwork, she was talking about her personal matters to her colleagues at the same time as I waited patiently. Afterwards, she told me that one of the tests that I needed to get done was not handled at this lab, so she called my doctor's office to inquire the info. She talked on the phone with one of the nurses at my doctor’s office right in front of me and mentioned that the handwriting on one of my tests was different from the others and that the patient (me) could have written on it herself! After she hung up the phone with the nurse I then confronted her on why she accused me like that. I even mentioned to her three times to contact one of the nurses, Grace, who wrote on this lab referral form on that day, but she didn’t care to ask for Grace, but instead told me that Grace is not there. Right after that, I called my doctor's office and asked if Grace was there and she in fact was. This woman, Kelly, is a liar. Hmm! What else could she have done to other patients?



Lastly, LabCorp used a student in training to draw my blood without any qualified staff to supervise, this is also surprising to me (although she did a great job, it still felt quite unprofessional). All in all, I had a very dissatisfactory experience at this LabCorp and will not ever go there again or refer anyone to go there. I somewhat felt discriminated against by this LabCorp employee.
