Houghton-Kearney Elementary enrolls more than 200 students in kindergarten through grade eight. It has a staff of over 10 teachers, counselors and employees. The school provides opportunities for students to participate in student council. Houghton-Kearney Elementary also operates a Parent-Teacher Club to support school and students in providing additional monetary support and assisting with providing supplemental activities. It offers Adult High School Diploma, Home Schooling and School Youth Employment Training programs. Located in Fresno, Calif., Houghton-Kearney Elementary is a part of the Central Unified School District, which owns and operates elementary, high, middle and adult schools. The Central Unified School District also offers several educational services, including health care, support, state assessment, library, Internet access and staff development services.
