In 2016 I was looking for boarding places and where to take lessons close to home. I was lucky enough to find North River Ranch and was able to have Mara as a teacher. June of 2017 I began boarding at North River. I brought in a severely underweight mare that needed some TLC. Marta taught me the ways to take care of horses that needed extra nutrients in their diets. Now my mare is thriving! Marta and Bob provide excellent service to their clients I have always felt welcomed.
Now and in the future with horses I will always keep Marta as my teacher!

I am a beginning rider who was looking for lessons in western riding. I found North River Ranch online, and I set up a lesson with Marta. I have to say that Marta is excellent. She is knowledable in her discipline and passes that knowledge off easily to you. She makes you feel relaxed and confident when your on the horse. I learned so much already and look forward to more lessons with her and Smokey. The facilities are clean and the horses are well taken care of. North River Ranch is a facility where learning about and bonding with horses can take place. Marta can definitely offer you her expertise of horses if you need it. I would recommend her and North River Ranch for all your horse needs.

Marta and Bob are wonderful people to work with. They are both highly educated in horse training, have years of horse experience, are very willing to help in anyway they can. They continue to add to their knowledge on a regular basis. They go above and beyond to help their clients.
While leasing one of Marta's horses this summer 2016, I learned how to better relate and communicate with the horse. No spurs, just body language and relationship.
Marta is also working with me on training my miniature horse on showmanship, trail, cowboy challenge, and cart pulling. He is coming along well and I am learning a lot on how to work with/train a mini that has not been trained in showmanship before.
North River Ranch has a nice cowboy challenge course, which is an added bonus.

I started helping out at North River Ranch about 2 weeks ago and I absolutely love it there! You learn more and more every time you go there. It may not be super big but I have learned lots while I've been there. I love that they always put safety first. The stalls and barn is always kept nice and clean. They have a great obsticle course out back. I love how they use just random things for the obsticle course. Things you wouldn't expect to be in an obsticle course. They have a great round pen. This place is just an amazing place! North River Ranch is great! Their trainer there is absolutely amazing! I love the way she does things. She's very loving to the horses. This is one place I'll always want to be.

Small boarding facility, but it is well cared for. They take excellent care of the horses. Rates are reasonable. They have very nice trails. We love the huge obstacle course and round pen. Owners are accomplished horsemen and have a wide variety of knowledge.
