Mayfair Power Systems, Inc was founded in February of 1961 by partners Paul Eberst and C. Gourley Gahn. The business was incorporated as Mayfair Marine Service and located on Woodcleft canal in Freeport NY. It started out as a marine engine sales and service operation. Shortly thereafter, marine generator sales and service were added. In a few years, sales and service of standby, mobile and other types of generators were phased into the operation.
