Filtered through these colored perceptions. That MAY NOT BE true and therefore NOT beneficial to US. TRADITIONAL: “we have always believed or done it this WAY. ” RELIGIOUS: “OUR regulations require we believe or DO it this WAY. ” DENOMINATIONAL: “OUR church teaches US to believe or DO it this WAY. ” CULTURAL: “everyone we trust believes or does it this WAY. ” SOCIO-POLITICAL: “popular opinion says we believe or DO it this WAY. ” GOD tells US we will find HIM when we search for HIM with OUR whole heart (Jeremiah 29:13). What is implied by whole heart? HE further tells US the WAY is narrow that leads to life. And FEW are those that find it (Matthew 7:14). WHY narrow? WHY FEW? finding implies searching. Again. LET US pursue HIM! “it is the glory of GOD to conceal a matter. But the glory of kings is to search it OUT. ” Proverbs 25:2 we have an opportunity to search the scriptures for what they SAY. Unfiltered. We want to BE very seriously honest with God’s word. OUR lives. Present and eternal. Depend on it. "and then I will declare to them. 'I never kNew YOU; depart from ME.
