AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! This place is now known as CAROTHER'S AUTO REPAIR AND SERVICE. Has also done business as Ted's Auto Repair,Ted's Auto Service, etc., etc.... These people have had my van for over ONE MONTH! Told me I needed a part rebuilt which would only take 2 weeks. Turns out it went to their "parts distributor" and sat there for 2 weeks, He shipped to a place in PA. now nobody knows what happened to it. Said this part is so old they don't make them anymore It is part of my computer system. Yesterday. I found tons of them online...so frustrating. Reported to BBB this morning.

Friendly and courteous. Fair prices, great work. Good communication towards the customer, as far as informing me of different options for my budget. Will recommend their services to friends.

I try to do all the work I can on my own car, but every now & then there is work that has to be done that I don't have the tools or know how to accomplish. I've been to quite a few shops in the Franklin & South Nashville area. Thus far Ted's Auto has been my best experience. I'mnot saying anything negative about anyone, but I will say this... when I walked into Ted's shop I was greeted and felt instantly comfortable. The young man at the front counter was pleasant, and walked me out to the shop so I could discuss the details of running problem with a mechanic. Also,on the matter of the mechanics, they were very friendly and welcomed my questions, which to me is good sign, cause I've been to some other shops that flat out refused to talk to me about my problem, and didn't want to hearanything I had to say about it. Anyway, once I had talked to them they pulled my car in and started checking it out. The guy at the front gave me a ride home,and an hour later he called me back with an estimate.

Ted gave me options on what parts he recommended using to repair my car and gave me a time frame for when it would be finished. The next day I got a call, my car was ready. When I got there I was shocked. Not only was my car ready early, but it was 112.00 less than what they had originally quoted me! I've been to a few shops like I said before, but I can't really remember that ever happening before. I laughed and cut up with them for a bit, paid my bill, and drove away a happy man. Thats honesty for you.
