Southland Ballet Academy is dedicated to excellence in dance training. Founded to cultivate and inspire an appreciation of classical ballet, SBA is the training ground for the best dancers in Orange County. The Fountain Valley branch was opened in 1983 and the Irvine branch in 2010. Southland Ballet Academy is the official school of the nonprofit arts organization Festival Ballet Theatre.Classes are taught in the Vaganova method and are presented in a positive, creative atmosphere by professional dance instructors who understand the intricacies of dance. Our goal is to offer age- and level-appropriate instruction to each student that will increase his or her skill and confidence.Our reputation for excellence is widely known and frequently recognized. Whether for fun or to launch a lifelong vocation, we help students achieve their personal goals as they experience the joy of dance and form lifelong friendships. YAGP has recognized SBA with Outstanding School and Best Teacher Awards numerous times.
