The office staff here is the most unprofessional I have ever encountered. In over a year, I have yet to have my prescriptions called in within a day of my appointment - including antibiotics. This week, I've called three times to have the anti-nausea medication the doctor ordered to actually get sent to the pharmacy. Each time I leave an appointment and ask to make a follow up, they haven't set up their schedule far enough ahead for a three month follow up. The answering service is routinely left on, even during business hours. I finally drove down to make an appointment in person and the Office Manager argued with me, even when I called the number on my cell in front of her. When I finally said it wasn't important, I just needed an appointment (an ER follow-up, at that!) she barked at me that no, what was important was figuring out the phones. Way to make clients feel valued. I supervised the intake at a medical facility and am appalled by the lack of professionalism or efficiency at this office. Mark Cross listens to your maladies and is very kind and resourceful, but the office staff make this an awful and frustrating experience.

The Fortuna Family Medical Group has been my medical care provider for the past decade. Doctors Reuben Brinckhaus and Fanette Downie – Allman have treated me with patience, knowledge, and professionalism. In addition, their receptionist and office staff have always been helpful.

My first visit with the P.A.

First visit to P.A. at this facility. My eye Dr said he knew him and seemed accepting of him. So, I was looking forward to meeting him as I waited for him to come into the room. He seemed very uptight. He was sarcastic, rude and had very bad manners. And, while not acceptable, I could work with it. . . And if he was good I could ignore the rudeness as his m.o. But he changed my thyroid prescription to generic, challenging my need for the prescription that I've been on for 45 years. All the doctors I've had since 1969 never once suggested that I didn't need it. Then he took me off xanax that I took at night to sleep and prescribed a med that you can't go off of, that's anticonvulsant/antiepileptic.....to sleep at night?????. When I told him that I felt like I had bronchitis, he said you just can't come and get antibiotics. Then prescribed a z-Pac, which google describes as an antibiotic. Strange. I took care of my mother, who had dementia for 7 yrs. She died last Dec, 2013 in the hospital at another location. I have trouble sleeping. He doesn't seem to care about the why's of my 2 prescriptions. I stayed very positive during the whole ordeal of his "my way or the highway" attitude. Lacking in kindness, caring and compassion, unless you're a guy. I doubt he would dare talk to a man like that.
