FOOD was excellent and had ordered a cake for my husband's birthday and it was enormous and very tasty. It was very reasonably priced. My husband loved the Veranda as it is NOT a chain restaurant. Glad we ate inside however as a cat was taking a bath on an "outside" table.Food and service were very good inside and we had a wonderful view of the outside.

The Verandah is always a special treat for us when we are in Ft. Myers. The food ( chateau briand for 2, salmon, and scallops ) was excellent as usual and the service by Michael was superb !

Our favorite place to dine. We dress for this occasion and shame on those who do not.

We had dinner at The Veranda last week; we were a party of 4. We "dressed" for dinner. I had been there 2 years ago and it seemed much more classy then. This time many guests were dressed VERY casually. Some in shorts and rumpled shirts. We obviously felt over-dressed. Isn't this supposed to be a classy place? What are people thinking? We were escorted to our table which was down the hall and around the corner, not far from the Ladies Room - which we could see from our table with the door opening and closing - sometimes for a long time with wheelchairs going in and out. Not appetizing at all. The food was very good and the service was very good. But if I ever go again, I will go for lunch and sit outside. This so-called "CLASSY" restaurant either needs to maintain a staunch dress code or "move on" and become more casual in all aspects. P.S. We weren't finished dinner yet and a bunch of waiters were beginning to remove flowers and linens from adjoining empty tables making a lot of noise and commotion. You call this "CLASSY"?? The whole experience left a bad taste in our mouths, to say the least. We have no problem with the prices, but in turn, we expect a "CLASSY" experience.

The ribs are good and flavor full, you just have to make sure they are hot enough for the full effect. I love the home made ranch which is the perfect deal breaker for any meal. I just don’t like the fact that they charge 75 cents for it depending on how you ask. If you get a full rack it should be free if ranch is your dipping preference.

I would highly suggest the Veranda for any special occasion.
