My name is Rafael. I started learning Wing Chun with Sifu (master or teacher of Martial Arts in Chinese) David Gallaher two years ago. I was very lucky to find a top notch school in a small city like Fort Myers.Sifu’s deep knowledge of Wing Chun, JKD + other disciplines and his dedication to Martial Arts is admirable. The classes offered are of the highest quality. I attend his kickboxing class once a week and his stretching classes twice per week, excellent complements to Wing Chun which is offered 4 times per week.Sifu’s teaching has made a big difference to my well-being and health. Sifu is an inspiration, always reminding us of how important is to eat well, quiet our minds, develop our body’s potential and being watchful of the emotional energy that we put out.We have a group of advanced students and instructors that are knowledgeable, helpful and available when we need them. For me they are role models that show us what is possible if we put the time and dedication to learn what the school has to offer. Thank you guys.I highly recommend the school but… as Sifu told me when I joined: you get out as much as you put into it. Personally I have made Wing Chun my lifetime commitment; it requires patience and persistence to learn it well, fortunately Sifu and the Gung Fu Institute are available.

My name is Stan Winters. I am a father of a 15 year old son. I looked around the South West Florida area for about a year before I found out about David Gallaher and the Gung Fu institute. Having karate in my back ground I was looking for a real teacher of the martial arts not a commercial style business. My son is a great person but lacked self confidence like all of us when we were a teenager. Since joining the Gung Fu institute 4 months ago he has improved his grades at school ( Honor Roll ) and has become more confident with himself in his everyday activities. He loves going to class and attends three days a week. I recommend the institute to anyone who may need a little help in guiding their teenager to a better future.

My name is Jason and I've been attending this school since 1999. If it wasn't for the David Gallaher and the Gung Fu Institute I wouldn't be the man I am today. I wouldn't have lost the the 80lbs I needed to to join the Army. I wouldn't have been able to serve 8 years in the infantry, this time including 1 year in Iraq where I used my training in combat. I wouldn't have met the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with. In all the time I've been attending the Gung Fu Institute my private lessons have been minimal, only required to compensate for my breaks in training during my military service. I currently teach my own class for the Institute. In my experience you won't be able to master anything anywhere if you rely only on the time you spend in class. You have to take what you learn at class and implement that into your daily life if you want to be a master. If you have humility, respect and dedication it will be difficult for you not to do well. Hi, my name is Wayne King Jr. I am 45 yrs old. I am a certified Jeet Kune Do instructor under Sifu David Gallaher, recognized by Ted Wong. I have attended 3-4 classes a week and have spent the last 12 years of my life dedicated to my training under him. Jeet Kune Do is not learned in a weekend excursion for $3000, (like you get out there now) and then you get your certificate to teach. Its quite the opposite and requires long hours of constant practice by the "INDUVIDUAL". Not Sifu show me more,more,more. True during private instruction you do learn faster, this is no secret thats why everyone else offers it. Just in case you wouldn't dare think you need it, private instruction is also for individuals who need that extra attention.
