Andy and Five Star Claims Adjusting are the equivalent of the ambulance chasing lawyers looking for an easy payday from someone else’s pain and suffering. Andy knocked on my door and encouraged me to investigate whether or not I had a sinkhole under my property. Andy, from the New Port Richie office, proceeded to have me sign a contract enlisting his and Five Star Claims Adjusting “services” throughout the entire process. As the first step, a test with an engineering company was arranged. Andy’s words to me were (with reference to the sinkhole test), “I will be the first one on your property and the last one off.” On day one of the testing days, Andy was at my residence for ONLY approximately 30 minutes (hours after the engineers arrived and leaving hours before they left). This was only the first of his misrepresentations, and was part of a relationship filled with negligence (i.e. failure to inform me until prompted of the engineering finding), bullying (forcing me to continue to sign waivers concerning his pay even after I expressed how dissatisfied I was), unfulfilled promises, misinformation and outright LIES (telling the wonderful sinkhole repair company he and I had spoken recently when it had actually been over a year since we last spoke). For all this “service,” Andy and Five Star Claims Adjusting plan to take 10% of the money the insurance company offered to help us take care of the problem. DO NOT USE THEM!

We had 5 star come out to our house in October 2011. Our insurance company denied our claim for a flood(both flood and home owners) Water came into our home destroying and mildewing our carpets, baseboards, furniture, etc. 5 Star came out and sent inspectors, and was helpful in the beginning. However, we have not heard a single word from them since December! We have called and they will not answer, No denial letter or phone call. Very disappointed. I think that should keep in touch with their clients so we know how to per sue this situation further.

I worked with Steve and Ed with 5 Star Claims adjusting for my plumbing claim, and they were exceptional. After the insurance company offered me very little money 5 Star came in, and got me an amazing settlement. I highly recommend this company! If your insurance company is not treating you fairly you should call to see if they can help.
