I used to be a fan of Le Creperie. I would easily spend $50 every time I went. Today, that all changed. As you may have read, they do not accept debit/ credit cards. Maybe they didn't get the memo, but our society moves on plastic. No one carries cash anymore. I rarely go there because of this, but today I decided to give in and use their ATM- an ATM that they maintain, might I add. While waiting for a table, I tried to get $40, but it only dispensed $20. It ran out of money. So they refill it, but at this point I have already been charged their $1 service fee plus the additional $2 that my bank will charge. Obviously breakfast is going to cost more than $20, so what to do? I politely ask the woman who refilled the ATM if they would consider taking $1 off of my check. Keep in mind that I would still be out $5 because of my own bank fees. She says she can't make that decision and has to ask. So, I wait.
