Bleeker Junior High School has an annual enrollment of more than 1,000 students in grades six through eight. The school s athletic activities include baseball, golf, track and field, tennis, volleyball, cross country, bowling, football, soccer, swimming, fencing and wrestling. It has a parent-teacher association that stimulates parents to work in school activities and raise money by special projects for school improvement. The school imparts education in various subjects, such as language arts, health and physical education, math, science, social studies, world languages and special education. In addition, the school provides food, health and transportation services to students. Bleeker Junior High School is governed by the New York City Department of Education.
