Ferndale Middle School is a coeducational institution that has a staff of nearly 40 full-time certified teachers and paraprofessionals that includes guidance counselors, foreign language instructors, reading specialists, school nurses, custodians, art and music professionals, and health and physical education teachers. It serves approximately 550 students in grades seven and eight. Ferndale Middle School is administered by Ferndale Public Schools, which has an enrollment of over 4,000 students in more than five educational institutions. The school also provides meal, medical and transportation services to the students. Its amenities include a cafeteria, computer laboratory, sports field, parent resource center, auditorium and gymnasium. Located in Ferndale, Mich., Ferndale Middle School maintains various school organizations, including science, equity and book clubs, a student council, jazz band, choir, yearbook team and the Honor Society.
