Run dont hire this lawyer she isnt professional at all takes your money and doesnt complete her job very incompetent

Despite pictures, forensic psychologist reports, hospital reports, and my own testimonial Ms. Shanker sold me and my son out. My ex cheated on me while I was pregnant and married the other woman two months after my son was born. Ms. Shanker called me the "other woman" and "mistress." She called my baby a "love child." She agreed to send my nonverbal 15 mo with this man who has not given me his address or phone number and has not so much as skyped with his son in 7 months. She ignored me telling her about the Protection order that was in place. I told her I lost my job due to court dates set by the ex and she said her cost is $2500. I used my last paycheck to retain her to keep my son safe. She then told me I need to get my "stuff together" that I am complaining i haven't paid the rent etc. He doesn't pay child support and is fighting me in court for that and I spent my last money on you trying to keep my baby safe. It took 50 mins of me begging and explaining for her to start to look into all I had been saying. It was very apparent she hadn't read a single document I had sent her. This 50 mins was after she failed to stand up for my son and the judge ordered I let my 15 mo non-verbal child go with this man to I have no idea where. "Why did you have a child with him then?" "Why did you agree to anything then?" "How did he corner you out in the lobby, what did you ask for a continuance and then talked to him?" No, he found me, he found me out in the lobby and I did what you do. I kept him calm because the children were there. I kept him calm until we were safely far away. This man did so many horrible things to me that I am just now starting to come to grips with. Having your attorney call you the "who*e" when it is his new wife and him that cheated while I was pregnant. If a woman you pay $2500 to won't keep you and your son safe, who will? Even after she got back the proof that there was a restraining order out on him when he cornered me in the court house she continued to argue for him and tell me how he can weasel out of it. I told her she has to fight for my son and keep him safe. I finally fired her after trying to get off the phone with her. Telling her over and over again that my kids are in the car just email me what you need me to do. She continued to go on about how much she has done and how everything wrong is my fault.

She should be disbarred. Look for another attorney.
