We just bought a camper at the Grand Forks Men's Show from McLaughlin's RV & Marine out of Fargo. We were very happy with the sales personal & the time they spent with us explaining how to run everything after the sale. Highly recommend them!

Bias service

Can't even get through via phone to order a part. Need to go online unless you bought it from them. Pretty hard to do that when you buy a brand they service used and you need to just order a simple part. i took the time out of my day to go online and make this point. Part ordered form competitor.

Never.. Service sucks!

READ ALL : So we bought our camper last year @ the "fun factory" in Fargo... The camper had some warranty work so this April I brought it in to have done before the warranty expires... They had it a month and nothing... Couldn't fix it because they could not get the parts in time... So I said.. Just send me the parts I will do your job... Casey or Corey , the general manager called me in May.. Said he would have a tech come to my lake spot and make the repairs... By June ... So.. Last week someone calls me to drop off the parts at my house.. I said no.. You guys are suppose to do the work at Cass lake... Ok the guy said.. I will be there next week .. I will call you and let you know when... No call all week... Today my wife Erika Omdahl calls them and says wtf... The same general manager calls me back.. Basically told me I was a liar.. He never told me that... This man called me the first time... Offered it to me.. Cause their service sucked! Now I am a liar and have no right to get upset... Now he tells me to get bit.. Not only will they not do the work.. But .. I have to pick up the parts in Fargo ... I said.. See ya in court... He said piss off... Now .. I told him I would spread the shitty service word.. He laughed at me.. Now .. Read this and share.... McLaughlin's ... In Fargo... Go to their websight and let them know you won't buy from anyone who gives bad service... They lost a new pontoon sale and park model upgrade from me.. But tell them you can not treat customers this way.... Tell them Jason sent you.

WILL BE BACK!!

My family and I had great experience with McLaughlin's RV & Marine. From start to finish they made us feel like their #1 priority. I would highly recommend McLaughlin's to anyone.

Happy Experience

My family and I have been purchasing from McLaughlin's for years and have always been pleased with the level of service from pre to post sales. People that complain about helmets taking too long to ship, or having to pay for oil, or having to wait for your boat to be serviced is shocking. They aren't in charge of whether Artic Cat has available helmets -they are re reseller, if you need more oil then you need to pay for it, and they are one of the very few places around the lakes that do service boats so it is first come first serve and there's a waiting period for all. Scott McLaughlin is on the lake behind me and every year his boat is the last one on the lake because customers come before him and he has personally come to my neighbor's house on a Sunday to help them start their boat. Does the owner of your car dealership swing by your house on the weekend to look at your car when it doesn't start? And it sounds like the "employee" was fired and is venting. Shame on you.

I recently purchased a Malibu VLX boat from McLaughlin's over the Internet. I was hesitant to make such a large purchase without seeing the boat first. My sales guy Nate made the process very easy and put my mind at ease! The entire team there is honest and professional and I was very impressed with them. I just wish I lived close enough to use them for maintaining the boat now! I would highly recommend them and would not hesitate to use them again for a future purchase. Bottom line, the price was right and they were extremely honest and nice!

This seems to be a great place until you buy something. I purchased a '97 Lund ProV here. They started it briefly at their shop. Once on the water I realized the motor wouldn't run more than 20 seconds, also the trolling motor didn't work. Brought it to a dealership back home and ended up paying over $1500 to get it in working order. The fuel pump was the least of that motors problems. After being told everything is in working order and paying that much to fix everything I would STRONGLY suggest staying away from this hell hole.

Trust the reviews!

We recently purchased a "new" travel trailer from this shop, four hours away from where I live. When it got here, as I was going through it for the first time, I noticed many scratches, scrapes, and gouges. If this is a "new" camper these are very excessive. Jess at mclaughens assured me this was never a "floor" model, but I question that. It looks refurbished or like a lot of people have been shown it and trampled through it. He gave me the option of 1) ordering a new one, which would be here in a month 2) he would send me glue putty and $250 3) getting a different camper from the rugby dealer. We don't feel like we should be the ones who have to wait, return or do anything to get our "new" camper in "new" condition! I emailed Jess yesterday and haven't heard back, so I'm assuming this is where the bad customer service reviews come in. Dealing with jayco independently instead. I wish I could attach pictures. I have many and the quality of this camper is unreal!

Shop elsewhere trust me not worth your time at McLaughlins it's a laugh

Will not go to again. Unknowledgeable about inventory, takes forever, finance lady is very unprofessional and crabby, the owners are dense and misleading. Ask a question and takes forever for an answer. My time and money are too valuable to waste at McLaughlin's ..good thing part of the name has laugh because it's a joke

McLaughlin's RV and Marine Should NOT be in business

I really wish I would have read reviews or checked with the BBB before I had any connection with this business. Very poor customer service skills, poor management, and poor employee relations. In my short employment with McLaughlin's RV and Marine (Scott McLaughlin and Jess McLaughlin) I was able to see first hand how they treated and spoke to customers AND how the management treats staff. How a company treats their employees says a lot about the company. Give them a call or walk in and you will hear or see what I mean. The whole aura of the business is depressing. I have no idea how they stay in business either. They boast about how they've doubled sales, yet they pay their staff low wages, they cannot even fix up their showroom or buildings, or hire a proper accountant (RaMona Engel - extremely rude and incompetent) to handle their business needs. I have heard first hand how terrible the customer service and dealt directly with it. This past summer my sister ordered a helmet for my nephew from FunOutfitters. We will NEVER do business there again. It took forever for the helmet to arrive, and when we called McLaughlin's to find out what was going on, the lady (Mona) who answered the phone was very rude, then transferred us to a younger gal who frankly did not know anything. My boyfriend's grandfather bought a very expensive pontoon from the Detroit Lakes location, and actually had to argue with McLaughlin's to fix it as it was still under warranty! He's over 80 and should not have to deal with such poor service! No one should! Seriously, ask around the Fargo and Lakes area and you will not hear much, if any, good about McLaughlin's RV and Marine! Seriously check them out before buying or considering any relation with this company. Not reputable and shady! I've heard many goods things about Outlet Recreation (in Fargo also) in regard to product, service, and employee relations.

No Parts, No Service, No Knowledge!

If you are bored and would like to see just how horrible a dealership can be stop in at McLaughlin's . Staff in every department knows absolutely nothing. This place brags that they have been in business for over 40 years and I don't know how. Do you self a favor and shop somewhere else!

customer service and quality lacking

Had boat serivced, oil change, fluid change, ran it for about 4 hours and alarm goes off, drive oil low. Talked to them about it and they said yeah thats common their might have been a bubble when they filled it up. Asked for a quart to top it off, and they were more then happy to charge me for it. Also temp gauge not working after they "serviced it" i asked if I could bring it in. Their response was it would be a few weeks before they could look at it. But I should just look around the engine and I could probably figure it out. My advice is stay away.

Lack of common Arctic Cat parts

Stopped by for common parts on a kitty cat and was told they do not stock them. Needed runners or skags for the skiis! Really, why should I wait and order from them! Highly recommend ordering online or shopping their competition! You will also wait for an extended time since staff seems clueless and inexperienced.............Get with the program!

No fun for me

I needed a couple of parts this fall to fix on my camper. One of the parts was on the shelf, out of the box, and had issues.Had questions about the issues before I was ready to purchase. As I waited for someone to answer my questions, a couple "known" customers came in after me and received service before me. Not such a big deal but when I did finally receive some service, the lack of effort and interest was underwhelming. I was there after all to spend money. After speaking with 2 people about my concerns with the product (1 customer service guy & 1 shop guy) and getting nothing but a shoulder shrug, I decided based on the response that I should shop somewhere else. Went to a competitor in W.Fargo. Got what I needed in the condition I expected for a new product, at a better price, with my questions answered. Just my experience and my .02
