There is an old saying. '' if you can't stand the heat, then get out of the kitchen" I called lily's tonight and the most rude woman answered the phone. i asked if they were open. she snapped back with YES! but we are full and excepting no more customers. I said ok can I get take out? she snapped at me again and said NO! were no excepting any orders. well good for you miss because I eat at Lily's all the time in you slow times and you just lost a customer. you can take your short attitude and shove it. I have eaten at restaurants that are far better than yours including Boby Flay's in New york, Morimoto's in Philadelphia and Hyde Park in Pittsburgh. I was never refused service because they were to busy. good for you and you customer relations.

Must be good!

I can honestly say, i've never been to Lily's on Main. But i've heard nothing but good things about it. Also, a friend of mine from school is a chef there. She is an amazing cook too! So although i am a stranger to Lily's and to those reading this...try Lily's on Main!

Exquisite with Laughable Portions

My wife and I were looking for a place to take my mother for Easter. We found Lilys On Main on the internet and thought, Easter Lily’s, lets have a Sunday drive from Valley Forge to Lily’s on Easter. Though I expected the restaurant to be in a colonial building in Ephrata, we were impressed with the office building stairway entrance to the second floor with flowing water over marble walls. We were even more impressed with the art deco decor of the dining room and bar. We were cordially seated by the window with a beautiful view of Main Street Ephrata. I ordered an assorted appetizer consisting of three bites. They were delicious, and the three sample appetizer was beautifully presented in a sauce painted white rectangle dish. For an entrée, I ordered surf and turf. When the dish was presented, I thought what a small Filet Mignon. I wish I was exaggerating, but the filet was no bigger than a sea scallop. The crab cake was the size of an immature sand dollar with more green pepper and assorted fillings than crab meat. Why is it hard to find a crab cake with just crab meat? We of course had room for desert and I found that to be the best course.

I read that Lily’s was named after the chief’s/owner’s daughter; maybe that explains the children’s portions.
