we sent our camera in 5 months ago still do not have it then we talked to gail who is apperently the one in charge of billing according to numerious people and if she doesn't feel like sending your camera out and completing the transaction she does not there work shotty at best and slow will never ever recomend this company shame on you sony for using such a bad company like precision camera repair

These Guys are unbelievable. After my USB port failed on my sony action cam, I had to send it to Precision. First they tried to deny my claim was covered and charge me a $250 out-of-pocket repair cost (twice what i paid for the camera new). then finally sony told them to cover it after i informed them this was clearly a scam.



it then took them 2 weeks to get the part from sony and was "in repair" for another 2 months. Finally I called sony because Precision does not answer the phone.



Turns out they were unable to fix it and were recommending a refund from sony... after 3 months... I kid you not.



I use the action cam as a safety device to record my rides to and from work on my motorcycle. So not having it for 3 months was really bad. Please don't give these guys your business and tell sony to stop using them...



This is by far the worst service I have experienced anywhere in my entire life. They should be ashamed.

Have a Nikon Coolpix AW100 camera that the battery clip broke off with normal use. Precision wanted to charge me $137.00 just to look at a camera I paid $179.00 at Costco a year ago. Should be upset with Nikon for building a cheap product and not having the right support if there are issues like this who can repair it at a reasonable rate. Thumbs down to both Nikon and Precision for taking advantage of the consumer.

Can't repair 'em...just wants your money!

Couldn't repair my camera for more than 20 days. (Brags about a 3 day repair time). Came back to me after 20 days and still had the same problem. Customer reps don't know what the status of the camera was when I called...they have a computer system that they have any information...Sent it back to them and they want more more to fix it. It was supposed to be a flat fee repair and now they want more money...

If you have a bad camera, dont send it to them, don't even get it repaired...just buy a new one. It's not worth the time talking to these company who is out there to screw you!!!

Just Great

My Canon SD600's lens was stuck in the extended position.Called Precision(who has my extended warranty through my purchase from Staples) and they were not only extremely efficient, they were very freindly and polite as well! More importantly, they sent me a pre-paid shipping label and box within 2 days of my request and had the camera repaired and returned within 1 week! Amazing! I almost hope my camera breaks before the warranty expires!(just kidding). They were even better than the manufacturers' service department!

Impeccable Camera Repair

While at work, my Minolta 7D digital camera and flash fell from a table and smashed on a concrete floor. Both camera and flash were damaged. I found Precision Camera repair while searching on-line. Based on the excellent reviews, plus advice from another photographer, I decided to have Precision try to repair my equipment.

My camera was repaired and returned to me quickly - It looks like new again, and the camera functions appear to be back in top form. I really appreciate the fast professional service and impeccable repair!

My equipment is back in service at work.

I am very pleased with the service and quality repair from Precision Camera.

My Cracked LCD Screen

I cracked my LCD screen a year ago on my camera. I finally decided to get it fixed because I loved my camera so much. I mailed it in and got it back within 2-3 weeks. I was so excited, it was like getting a new camera. The prompt repair made it all worth while.

Amazing!!!

I had my Nikon 5700 a camera that I always wanted for 2 whole days when I managed to render it useless. A friend recommended Precision Camera - as is only natural I was apprehensive.I can't say enough about the ease of business and the level of professionalism.

I had my camera back in about a week - and much to my amazement not only was it working but it literally worked better than it did when I purchased it. I was even able to track the process of my repair online.

So - thank you.

If I ever need assistance again Ill be sure to use Precision Camera- and in the meantime - Ill be recommeding all of my associates friends and relatives

Repaired like new

My daughter was away at college when her red Sony T200 digital camera began acting up. She contacted Precision Camera Repair and the helpful clerk told her the procedure to follow and gave her a claim number. A month later, I finally tracked down all my proof of purchase paperwork and sent in the camera for repairs. Their website is great... allowing you to check on the status of the camera's repairs... clicking the appropriate box allows you to verify that it arrived... is in the shop being repaired... and even that it was shipped out to you.

They did more work on the camera that I expected, indeed practically rebuilt the thing by putting in a new CCD and a lens grouping.

Our Sony T200 digital camera arrived today in great condition...........

you provided great work with fast turn around. . . highly recommendable

Excellent! Greatest !

My 4 month old Sony ceased operation......................I packed it up and sent it to Precision Camera all the while thinking that I would a. never see my camera again or b. at least not have it for 6 months plus! NOT !

P.C. rocks! They received my camera at the beginning of the week and lo and behold I had it back the same week!

Repair done along with cleaning and general maintenance !

Do not hesitate to send your electronics to these folks ! Reputable ! Great service ! Timely !!!

Sony Repair

When my Sony Camcorder refused to start up and showed a code on the screen. I contacted Sony and they referred me on to Precision Camera Repair. The problem was apparently complicated because when they sent it back to me the problem was still there. I called them and they were real sorry and sent me a free UPS mailer to get it back to them. I was able to track it via Precision and UPS web sites and my camcorder was returned two days later fully functional. I would recommend Precision to anyone who is in need of camcorder repair.

Excellent Customer Service!

I had an absolutely PERFECT experience with Precision Camera repair.



I purchased my Sony Digital Camera a few months ago and was recently having trouble with the zoom and the screen where you view images. I went online to their website and found instructions for sending in for repair. I sent my camera in and within a week it was returned back to me in brand new condition, free of charge.



It is rare that I experience customer service as good as this, and I highly reccomend this service to others.

Awesome Service!!

I had a very good warranty repair experience with Precision Camera. After the LCD screen on my Kodak Z812IS cracked, I sent the camera to Precision. I tracked when they received it via their system, and talked to a very friendly and helpful customer service rep when the system showed a hold. She apparently cleared it as a warranty repair with Kodak, and it shipped back to me soon thereafter. I will not hesitate to send it or another camera back to Precision. Stephan K

Great Service!

I live in Georgia and sent my Sony Handycam to Precision Camera in CT for repair through our warranty. I was honestly expecting *weeks* of waiting especially because it was a warranty situation. Our camera was back in less than a week! Perfectly repaired! I am considering sending my old Pentax 35mm all the way to CT to be repaired because of the great service. Highly recommended!

I would highly recomment Precision Camera Repair

I was very satisfied with Precision Camera Repair's process. I sent them my Kodak camera to be repaired under warranty. I have to admit, I expected some hassles, but there were none. They fixed my camera in a timely manner and kept me updated of its status at every level of repair. If I had a question, they answered immediately, and that is rare. I am familair with the electronic repair process, as this was my line of work for many years. I was very impressed with their process and professional manner.

AMAZING one-of-a-kind SERVICE

I am really speechless....

well, ALMOST! I used this company because I had purchased an extended warranty when I bought my Kodak V550 camera in December 2005. I used it to take 1000s of pictures of my grandchildren, plus a couple trips to Chile....it was a WELL USED CAMERA. I had also lost the camera (when it travelled under the floor mat of my friend's new car to California & back, and had been missing for 3 months!), ++ I'd gotten married and moved since buying it. Finally, I FOUND my extended warranty on the LAST DAY it was valid. Can you imagine a company REALLY honoring that...PLUS fixing it to as-good-as-new CONDITION?!?!?! I've never experienced anything like it. I sent in the camera, with their box/packing...and it came back, AS GOOD AS NEW. In fact, it looks like it's had a face lift and dermobrasion! Hardly recognizeable! I am so THANKFUL to have a chance to write about such a stellar group, and I would recommend their services to ANYONE who has a camera!

I would highly recommend Preci...

I would highly recommend Precision Camera for repairs no matter where you are from. My Sony camera had similar issues to the others who posted with the lens not coming out all the way. Even with 2 holidays in the path of me getting my camera repaired I had it back in under 2 weeks. The website they give you to track your repair job is terrific and user friendly. Customer service is friendly, efficent and understanding. Those who repaired got the job done. Precision Camera is a must-use for any camera issues. A true "customer-centered" business.
