Scam!!! Stay away they charge $897 to swap old faucet into already purchased new one. They do not deserve your hard earned money!

I agree - this business is a scam.



I hired Sanford Kramer to clear a clogged kitchen sink drain. Although the plumber was not successful they still charged me $281.00. On 01/29/14 I called Sanford Kramer regarding a clogged kitchen drain. They told me that there was a $49 fee for sending a plumber and that the plumber would charge based on what he needed to do to "fix" the problem.



The plumber did not fix the drain, but still charged me $282 in addition to the $49 service call fee totaling $331.00. The plumber stated that he would need to cut the pipes through the garage and that it would cost another $300-500. I declined.



After he left I was very upset that I was charged so much and still had the same kitchen drain issue. I called the company without stating who I was. I told them I had a drain clogged and asked how much it would cost to fix it. They told me $49 and the plumber would quote the rest once he came to my house. I asked if I would have to pay the amount the plumber states if he can't fix the problem and the lady on the phone told me I only pay the additional cost if the problem is fixed. I explained who I was and that I was charged anyway - she said she'd call me back the next day. I didn't hear back so I called again the following day and she told me that they wouldn't refund my money. I told her I'd have no choice but to open a case with the BBB.



The next day I hired a plumber from B & C Sewer and Drains (this time reading reviews first - they are awesome!) and their plumber came to the house and fixed the clog simply by snaking the drain. I paid $200 for this plumber who actually fixed the problem.



The BBB has tried for over a month to get a response from Sanford Kramer and they simply do not respond. This business can't be trusted.

This is perhaps one of the most inept and frustrating companies. Called and scheduled a service for my kitchen faucet, was told that I cannot be accommodated that day (friday) but was scheduled for Saturday. So I gladly scheduled for Saturday. Saturday came and NOBODY SHOWED UP worse, I spoke to Kris and was told I wasn't even in the list of jobs for the day. Thanks CHRIS H. who I scheduled with. I was told that nobody can come on Sunday even though they said they are open 7 days a week 24 hours. The level of lies and ineptitude of this company blows my mind.

Sanford Kramer repaired air conditioning system. The tech, Juan, quickly identified the problem then made the necessary repair. He was fantastic and I highly recommend Sanford Kramer

Do not use this business. They are very sneaky and a fraud. Despite multiple attempts to ensure they guarantee their work and having them put it in writing before authorizing work, the did not honor it. They will find excuses even if its not the problem area specific. I was given 2 different time duration for guarantee - neither passed.



When calling back, the plumber was very rude and hung up on me. When calling the main office, I got many different answers with no effort to attempt to resolve the problem. They suggested paying hundreds more for replacing a pipe/seal in another area - that is not related to the problem at hand. That area had no problems in past 10 year. It simply was a pipe that was not closed properly and was fixed by another plumber for $50 (not the $400+ dollars requested by Kramer). So because they didn't get that work they are NOT honoring the work they did.



I'm definitely taking them to the BBB and credit agency to make them honor their work.



While initial call they showed a lot of effort and went out of the way to be helpful, after work was done they did not stand behind their work... i guess they already got paid.



Stay away and do not trust they guarantee their work because they have not in this case.

Josh P. was sent to fix a pinhole leak in my condo. He was professional in every respect: from the footies he put on to avoid tracking mud into the house, to the quick and efficient pipe repair job.



Most importantly, he was knowledgeable. His ability to answer all of my questions gave me complete confidence in his work.

Just wanted to thank Ray for being so great--helpful, friendly and fast--he is a great plumber!

Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this sorry excuse for a company. I had a leak in my upstairs shower. The so called plumber said that the shower needed a new seal.

He charged me $145 to fix the leak. Well a few days later the leak was back. He came back and said that he would need to rip out the bedroom ceiling below the shower. And the part he needed was very very rare. Three months later I have still not heard from them. They must have ordered the part from China. Not to mention the guy smelled like he hadn't taken a shower in weeks. When I get my shower fixed from a competent plumber I'll have Mike to come over and use my newly fixed shower. I think I'll charge him $145!!

This was an emergency and I was helped quickly. Thank you!

I use Sanford Kramer because I trust what I am told by their technicians. The gentleman who came today was very courteous, knowledgable, and very helpful in explaining what I needed to know about my heat and AC. I truly appreciate all of his help!

We had Randy come out. He did a fine job explaining what he was going to do. He was polite and informative. Would fondly use hime again!

These kind of companies are the reason that yellowpages.com needs a real verification system in place. I got alerted to this series of reviews via a yellowpages.com alert I set up to come to my email. I work in the marketing field and maybe its just me but I thought integrity in marketing was important. Clearly these guys do not. It is clear that someone at this company all of the sudden got interested in their reviews and decided to do something about it in the most unethical of ways. The problem is they can't undo history with fake reviews. We as consumers need to to dig deep when checking a business out and make sure they are who they say they are. We need to pay attention to the little words they use such as "trained and certified" as opposed to "licensed" which is what the law requires. Good luck in finding a reputable company to work on your plumbing but I would recommend avoiding this one.

I used this company once due to some positive reviews that I saw online. Now I know better and the rest of you should as well. I agree with the prior review. If this business gets any good reviews at all it is because they faked them. Clearly when you have a massive string of bad reviews and then you get a several good ones in a period of a few days something is fishy. The bad reviews are spaced out overtime and are consistent. The positive reviews are few and far between except for the last few days. What a joke. yellowpages.com should be ashamed for allowing a company to fake reviews of itself. This dishonesty is clearly designed to trick homeowners into spending their hard earned dollars with a fraud of a company. The one time I used Sanford Kramer the plumber that came to my home bad mouthed the company and said that he got sent because he was the only licensed plumber in the company besides the owner. He said no one else could legally do gas work (water heater). I asked what kind of work the unlicensed plumbers in the company do and he told me that they all do kinds of work. When I asked how they could be doing any work since they were unlicensed he said that's not his problem and that I was lucky he was on my call. So here an employee tells you he is the only licensed guy in the company, what does that mean for every other homeowner who had work done that day? At the prices they charge these guys should have medical licenses and yet they don't even have the legally required plumbers licenses. By the way on top of the fact the guy bad mouthed the company he didn't even install the water heater correctly or up to code. No permit was pulled until I called in and asked why my installation was not inspected. Once the permit was pulled, it failed inspection not once but twice before they got it right. 3 days of missed work and an outrageous bill is what I got stuck with. Stay far away from Sanford Kramer.

Is there anyone out there who doesn't see through this fraudulent business? Go back and look at the REAL reviews on this joke of a company and you will see that these recent reviews are all fakes written by employees of the company. The score got so bad that they had to rush out a bunch of nondescript short reviews just to try to bring up the rating. How pathetic.

Jim was pleasant and nice. He showed up on time and installed everything without issue and in a timely fashion. We have used Sanford Kramer for years and never had any problems.

Professional and Courteous. Explained what needed to be done. Went and got the part and took care of the work promptly

Very satisfactory - came within one day at time requested. Worked efficiently and quickly. Making a good repair to fit an obsolete fixture. I'm pleased.
